PCG: Joint personnel of Coast Guard Sub-Station (CGSS) San Roque together with Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction Management Council (PDRRMC) Pangasinan and civilian volunteers retrieved a drowned victim at the vicinity waters of Agno River Irrigation, Brgy Calepaan, Asingan, Pangasinan last Saturday, 22 April.

The victim identified as Mr Edgar R Nepalis Sr., 46 years old and a resident of said barangay went for a swimming venture together with four others. However, during their drinking session, the victim dived into the river and failed to resurface. 

Immediately, CGSS San Roque conducted search and rescue operations after Nepalis’ companion reported the incident to the station. 

The team recovered the cadaver of the victim at less than three kilometers away from the drowning site. The remains of the victim was positively identified and confirmed by his family and was subsequently brought to Villanueva Funeral Services at Brgy. Bayaoas, Urdaneta, Pangasinan for proper disposition.
