PCG: Coast Guard successfully rescued five passengers after a fiber glass boat capsized at the vicinity waters of Panabo City last 21 May.

Coast Guard Sub-Station (CGSS) Panabo received the information from Coast Guard Station Davao. According to reports, the boat was underway to Carmen, Davao Del Norte when she was suddenly hit by big waves causing her to capsize.

Immediately, CGSS Panabo launched an Aluminum Boat (AB) 223 and proceeded to said area to conduct search and rescue operation together with personnel of 1103rd Maritime Police Station.

The team sighted the capsized fiber glass boat and immediately rescued the passengers. Subsequently, the boat was safely towed to the shoreline of Barangay San Pedro, Panabo City.

The rescued passengers were then sent home to their respective families in good physical condition.
