PCG: Coast Guard Station Cagayan De Oro (CGS CDO) personnel will file charges against five passengers for using fake identification cards while entering at Philippine Ports Authority (PPA) Passenger Terminal Gate 1 in Cagayan de Oro on or about 09:00 PM yesterday, 19 June.
The suspects were supposed to onboard MV Pope John Paul II, a passenger vessel of 2Go Shipping Lines bound for Manila.
Immediately after the apprehension, CGS CDO personnel brought the suspects to PPA Investigating Room for investigation and profiling namely: Alinor Dimapora, 27 years old from Saguiaran, Marawi City, Lanao Del Sur; Abubacar M Ibrahim, 33 years old from Bundiangkay, Maging, Lanao Del Sur; Abdel Cali Hamid, 26 years old from Pindulunan in Maging; and Ameroding D Unte, 21 years old and Bashit G Unti, 22 years old, both residents of Delausan Poblacion, Maging, Lanao Del Sur.
The team, together with the National Intelligence Coordinating Agency (NICA), decided to continue the investigation at Headquarters Coast Guard District Northern Mindanao (CGDNM).
Accordingly, the suspects submitted IDs issued by Systems Technology Institute (STI) ID, Duterte ID, Mindanao State University (MSU) ID and Postal ID which were found to be falsified.
As of press time, ongoing investigation is being conducted. When asked about the ID, Alinor Dimapora cannot answer simple questions and later, they discovered that he could not read and write.
In connection to this, PCG already filed charges last week against four passengers who tried to onboard a vessel using fake IDs in Iligan.
