PCG: Coast Guard Sub-Station Sandangan is still on search for a reported missing fisherman at Lawis, Sindangan, Zamboanga last August 15,Tuesday.

The incident was reported by the barangay Captain of Lawis and further disclosed that the victim was identified as Mr. Antonio Navaro, 49 years old, resident of the same barangay.

Accordingly, the victim went on fishing venture onboard an unregistered motorbanca at the vicinity waters of Sindangan but failed to return home since.

Immediately, CGSS Sindangan conducted search and rescue (SAR) operation together with Philippine National Police (PNP) Sindangan but yielded negative result. 

SAR operation was temporarily terminated due to unfavorable sea condition and will continue if the weather permits.

CGSS also advised all water crafts and vessels transiting in the vicinity to be on the look-out of the said missing person and to report immediately to the nearest Coast Guard Unit, if sighted.
