PCG: The cadaver of missing fishermen of capsized motor banca “ChakChak” which was hit by big waves and strong winds 2 nautical miles off Sitio Naburot, Carles last December 19 was recovered by the personnel of Coast Guard Sub-Station Carles at shoreline of Brgy Dayhagan, Pilar, Capiz around 5:00 P.M. yesterday, December 21.

The Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction Management Office (MDRRMO) informed CGSS Carles regarding a cadaver sighted at vicinity waters off the said barangay.

Immediately, the said sub-station coordinated with Philippine National Police (PNP) Pilar and proceeded to the cited area to conduct retrieval operation.

Subsequently, the cavader was successfully recovered and was identified by his immediate relatives as Mr Johncel Condello, 33 years old of South Gigantes Island Carles, Iloilo, wearing black short with red sando and in the state of decomposition. 

The cadaver was brought to Crispilon Funeral Homes in Calle Poblacion, Pilar, Capiz accompanied by Pilar PNP for proper disposition
