PCG: LCT Poseidon 20 ran aground at the vicinity waters of Brgy Tabunan, Matnog, Sorsogon with 2 passengers and 33 crewmembers onboard yesterday January 25.

Accordingly, LCT Poseidon failed to dock properly at Ramp nr 6 to unload their cargo from Allen, Northern Samar due to bad weather condition.

Around 6:50pm of the same date, Captain Antonio Dela Cruz of LCT Poseidon 20 decided to suspend the disembarkation of their cargoes due to heavy weather and proceeded to anchorage area. While maneuvering, said vessel was battered by big waves to the shoreline of Brgy Tabunan Matnog Sorsogon, causing her to subsequently run aground.

All passengers and crew are in good physical condition.

Coast Guard Sub Station (CGSS) Matnog advised the captain of the vessel to file a marine protest relative to the incident.
