PCG. 57 passengers onboard Motor Banca “Lucky Seagul” were successfully rescued by the personnel of Coast Guard Sub-Station Mabini in Batangas on January 29 after she encountered engine trouble at vicinity waters approximately 400 meters away from Port of Anilao.

Investigation revealed that a certain Mr Bayani Reyes, skipper of Mbca Island Express reported the said incident to CGSS Mabini. 

Immediately, personnel of CGSS Mabini together with concerned citizens conducted rescue operations to the distressed motorbanca. All of the passengers were successfully rescued in good physical condition and were later brought to Anilao Port. Mbca Lucky Seagul was also towed to Anilao Port.

Personnel of CGSS Mabini also advised the boat captain to file a Marine Protest in relative to said incident.
