Coast Guard Sub-Station Pagudpud successfully retrieved a floating cadaver from the shoreline of Sitio Cadaanan, Barangay Pacian, Pagudpud, Ilocoas Norte last Friday, January 29.
Investigation revealed that a certain Mr. Joseph Agcaolli, President of Fishermen Association reported the incident to CGSS Pagudpud.
Upon confirmation of the reported information, CGSS Pagudpud together with the barangay officials of Pancian, conducted search and retrieval operations and found the cadaver at the shoreline of Sitio Cadaanan.
The cadaver retrieved was male, wearing black short pants with the word “Joey Boy”, tattooed on his left hand, and is around 35 to 37 years old and 5’9 in height.
An hour later, a certain Regiline Ventura verified and confirmed that the cadaver was her cousin named Joey Ragmac. Acoording to her, Ragmac was missing since he went on a fishing venture on January 25 at 2:00 AM at the vicinity waters Northwest of Sta. Ana, Cagayan.
The body of Ragmac was properly turned-over to PNP Pagudpud Personnel and relatives and was later brought to Ripa Funeral Parlor for proper disposition.
