PCG: Coast Guard Sub-Station (CGSS) Dumangas Vessel Safety Enforcement Inspection Team recovered a cadaver at the vicinity waters of Dumangas Port, Iloilo last January 27. 

The victim was identified as John Rey Buenaflor, a resident of Barangay Tabugon, Kabankalan, Negros Occidental.

Reports revealed that Buenaflor was sitting beside his father and a relative when he suddenly jumped overboard the LCT Holy Family Navistar. 

His body was recovered at around 5:50 pm and was brought to Dumangas Memorial Hospital where he was declared dead on arrival.

CGSS Dumangas personnel turned over Buenaflor’s remains to his family for proper disposition.
