PCG: Three went missing while one was retrieved dead after they were dragged by strong waves while swimming at vicinity waters of Barangay Pagdaraoan last Friday, February 5.

The incident was reported by a certain Ramil Rivera, a non-uniformed police of San Fernando, to the personnel of Coast Guard Station (CGS) San Fernando.

The missing victims were identified as Mark Angelo Garcia, Aldrian Mordena and Lance Gacayan.

CGS San Fernando personnel immediately proceeded to the reported area of incident to conduct search and rescue operations. However, due to the unfavorable sea condition prevailing in the area, the SAR team decided to suspend the operations.

Upon arrival at the shoreline, a certain Roger Bermudez informed the team that a floating cadaver was seen along the shoreline of Brgy. Ilocanos Sur. The body was positively identified by his relatives as Dominador G. Doña and was later brought to funeral service for proper disposition.

Meanwhile, PCG advised the local fisherfolks to be on the look-out for the three missing persons and to report to the nearest Coast Guard units if sighted.
