PCG: Illegally caught fishes in the vicinity waters of Kiamba, Sarangani Province were donated by the Coast Guard to the hospital and municipal jail of the said province.

The said fishes were confiscated by the personnel of Coast Guard Sub-Station (CGSS) Kiamba from an unregistered motor boat that was intercepted in Kiamba last April 8. 

The joint maritime patrol team of BFAR and PCG apprehended the boat, with 16 fishermen onboard, that was seen using a fishing gear locally known as "Likom" or ring net. 

The boat is owned by a certain Bebeng Bucal and skippered by Luciano Cabatingan, both residents of Brgy. Katupo, Kiamba. 

Meanwhile, the apprehended fishermen were properly turned-over to Kiamba Police Station for further investigation and disposition and the motor boat was escorted to Brgy. Poblacion for anchorage.It will be presented to the fisheries office today for administrative fines for violating Municipal Ordinance No. 06-086.:
