PCG: Search efforts by the Coast Guard and local fisher folk continue for a missing fisherman in Infanta, Pangasinan.

Simon Wilson Almandres, 21, reportedly sailed for a fishing venture 30 nautical miles off the vicinity waters of Infanta and was expected to arrive in the morning of April 9. He failed to return up to this date, however.

The incident was reported by Allan Rey Dela Cruz, nurse of LDRRMO III, to the personnel of Coast Guard Sub-Station (CGSS) Infanta. He stated that Almandres was onboard a grey motorboat, powered by 12 HP Kama engine with markings of either Mr. and Mrs. I Pan-10-084 or Mr. and Mrs II Pan-10-085

CGSS Infanta personnel proceeded and coordinated with PO3 Crisostomo V Mayo PCGof CGIF based at Brgy. Patima, Infanta, Pangasinan to transmit through VHF radio the details of the missing fisherman.

He also advised all fishing boats transiting in the area to be on the look-out and render necessary assistance to the said missing fisherman and report to the nearest PCG Unit, if sighted.

Likewise, CGSS Infanta disseminated the information to all neighboring coastal barangays and fisherfolks and advised to do the same.
