PCG: The Coast Guard District North Eastern Luzon (CGDNELZN) conducted Water Search and Rescue (WASAR) and Rubber Boat Operation and Maintenance (RBOM) Training last 25-29 April 2016 at the Coast Guard Sub-Station (CGSS) San Vicente and Naval Base Camelo Osias, Santa Ana, Cagayan.

The said training was convened as the fifth batch or Class 05-2016 WASAR conducted to all personnel of the District.
The 5-day training kicked-off with a simple opening ceremony with the Commander, CGDNELZN CAPT JULIUS CAESAR VICTOR MARVIN V LIM PCG as the keynote speaker. The WASAR training focused on the series of lectures and practical exercises to include physical conditioning. Evaluation and assessment test will be given before and after the end of the course to determine the learning capacity and standard of each trainee based from the program of instructions.
The said activity was undertaken to further enhance the knowledge and skills of every personnel assigned to its District with its core objectives --- to produce and develop more competent rescuers who can efficiently respond during maritime related incidents and who can render appropriate lifesaving assistance to the victims.
The training was facilitated by LTJG ERWIN L NACARIO, Course Director of WASAR CL 05-16, and Special Operations Unit of CGDNELZN headed by CPO Charlie Prado PCG and likewise, LCDR JUNEFFER V NAVALES PCG, OIC MED-NELZN for the medical aspects.
