PCG: Coast Guard Caticlan personnel successfully evacuated and subsequently brought a passenger onboard M/V Supper Shuttle Ferry 18 who was reportedly found unconscious at the accommodation area of the vessel last May 13.
 
The incident was immediately reported by the ship’s crew to the Vessel Safety Enforcement Inspection (VSEI) team of the PCG at Caticlan Jetty Port.

Ericris Bernado De Guzman, 26 and a resident of Baliwag, Bulacan took a vacation at her fiancé’s home town in Estancia, Iloilo prior to the incident.
 
After conducting several medical examinations, the attending physician revealed that the patient suffered from angina pectoris (chest pain) and also had a history of asthma.

De Guzman was released on the same day after being declared in a stable condition.

Meanwhile, the shipping line refunded her transportation fees and shouldered her medical expenses.
