PCG: A 12-year old female orphan was found lifeless by the Coast Guard along Pasig River last Saturday, May 21.
 
The victim, identified as Myla Rianne Toquero, is among the orphans living in Hospicio De San Jose located at a river island in Pasig River.

Myla was seen drowning by a concerned citizen around 11:00 a.m. last Saturday who then immediately reported the incident to Coast Guard Sub-Station (CGSS) Hospicio De San Jose.

After a 16-minute underwater search and rescue, the child’s lifeless body was recovered by the PCG’s Special Operations Unit. It was brought to the hospice and was positively identified by Sister Cristina Valdez.

Her remains were turned-over to the hospice authorities in the presence of the barangay chairman of Brgy. 663-A Zone 71, Ayala Bride, Ermita, Manila for proper disposition.
