PCG: The cadaver of an Indonesian chief of engineer was recovered by the personnel of Coast Guard Station (CGS) Manila at the vicinity waters of Petron Navotas yesterday, June 9.
The remains were identified to be that of C/E Dedi Dewantoro of the M/Tug Mulia Permata. He was reported missing since June 3.
Dewantoro's cadaver was positively identified by Able Bodied Seaman (AB) Merum Anak Nanggai, Malaysian crew of T/B Destiny 3, and AB Jumali, Indonesian crew of barge βTarget Line 3001β.
Both arrived at Navotas together with S/Insp Jose Bonifacio of Manila Police Department-Scene of the Crime Operatives (MPD-SOCO) for further inquiry.
Dewantoro's body was turned-over to S/Insp Bonifacio and was brought to St. Valentines Funeral Homes in Gagalangin, Tondo, Manila for proper disposition.
