PCG: A motor boat transporting 11 passengers from Batangas to Oriental Mindoro capsized due to rough weather and sea condition last Saturday, July 30.

None of the passengers were injured at the said incident due to the swift response of the Philippine Coast Guard. 

M/Bca Freedom was reportedly approaching Sabang Pier in Puerto Galera when it was suddenly battered by heavy rain and big waves. The boat eventually capsized after rolling and pitching.

Boat owner Isidro Mercado immediately requested assistance from the Coast Guard Sub-Station (CGSS) Puerto Galera. 

The capsized vessel was towed by M/Bca Genesis to Escarceo, Puerto Galera, Oriental Mindoro for repairs while all passengers were accounted for and are in good physical condition.
