PCG: 78 passengers were left stranded at sea last Saturday after their motor boat incurred mechanical failure at the vicinity of Dinagat Islands. 

Motor banca La Purisima-2 encountered engine trouble when its cooling system and electrical wiring broke down while it was sailing approximately 800 meters off the shoreline of Dinagat Islands. 

The Dinagat Rescue team immediately deployed its Sea Ambulance to assist the passengers and transfer them to M/bca Anivel 3. 

Moreover, Coast Guard Sub-Station (CGSS) San Jose advised the boat owner and captain to conduct a regular preventive maintenance and further instructed the master to file for a marine protest relative to the incident.
