PCG: Four stranded fishermen were rescued last Sunday by the seaborne patrol operations team of Coast Guard Sub-Station (CGSS) Libertad.

The men were onboard an unnamed motor boat when they were found near Libertad, Antique and screaming for help.

Inquiries disclosed that they were supposed to fish in Batbatan Island when they encountered engine trouble. Efforts to fix the deranged engine failed and the boat remained dead on water until rescue came.

The fishermen identified as Nolmer Juanico, Noel Juanico, Jerald Juanico and Eddie Sarancanlao were all in good physical condition and returned safely to their families in Barangay Centro Este, Libertad, Antique.
