PCG: About 60 residents of Dapitan, Zamboanga del Norte were evacuated by the Coast Guard from their homes after Polanco River overflowed due to heavy rains. 

58 persons, 22 of whom were children and an infant, were moved to a safer place by the joint personnel of Coast Guard Station (CGS) Dapitan, Coast Guard Sub-Station (CGSS) Roxas, Special Operations Group, Marine Environmental Protection Unit (MEPU), and the 1010th PCG Auxiliary Squadron. 

The Municipality of Polanco was inundated by flood following the heavy rains last Saturday, December 4. 

The rehabilitated residents of Barangay Polanco North and Barangay Isis were likewise given relief goods by the PCG and PCGA along with the municipal mayor of Polanco.
