PCG: A local tourist was found dead by rescuers along the shoreline of Sebay Shore in Urbiztondo, La Union last December 24.

Alan Delig, 40, was reportedly under the influence of alcohol when he went for a swim in Sebay Beach Resort and was dragged by strong current and big waves away from the shoreline

The incident was reported to Coast Guard District North Western Luzon (CGDNWLZN) and Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction Management Council (PDRRMC). 

Search and rescue operations by the Coast Guard Station (CGS) San Fernando and Red Cross was immediately conducted for Delig but zero visibility in the area prompted the rescuers to temporarily suspend the search.

His cadaver was found on Christmas day in front of Sebay Beach Resort.

It was turned-over to PNP-San Juan for proper disposition and was later brought to Joces Funeral Homes.
