Two passenger motor bancas accidentally collided with each other while they were underway at vicinity waters off Cagban Jetty Port, Barangay Manoc-Manoc, Boracay Island in Malay, Aklan on December 20 at 10:45am.
The incident was sighted by Coast Guard Sub-Station Boracay and 609th PCGA Squadron personnel.
Immediately, Deployable Response Team (DRT) proceeded to the area of incident onboard Mbca Riza and rendered necessary assistance.
Mbca Lynn-2 was skippered by Esteban D Dela Torre Jr. with thirty seven (37) passengers and three (3) crew onboard while SB Eustacio Uno was skippered by Raffy Salvador with four (4) passengers and two (2) crew onboard.
Initial inquiry conducted to both parties revealed that while Mbca Lynn-2 was maneuvering from Cagban Jetty Port enroute to Caticlan Jetty Port, she accidentally hit her port side outrigger to the then approaching SB Eustacio Uno.Β
The collision caused a crack hole on the hull of SB Eustacio Uno.
No casualties or injuries were reported from the incidents and all passengers were safely disembarked at Cagban shoreline.
CGSS Boracay issued a Maritime Violation Receipt (MVR) to SB Estacio Uno for the following violations:

CGSS Boracay personnel further advised the boat Captain to file Marine protest relative to the incident and to report to MARINA for adjudication.
