PCG: Coast Guard Station Sual successfully evacuated the sickly wife of a chief engineer of MV Sipang Express while at 4 nautical miles northeast off Sual, Pangasinan last Monday, January 05.
Evelyn Godines, 59 years old, was reportedly suffering from dehydration but was conscious and was still ambulatory.
The report was received by Coast Guard Station (CGS) Sual around 3:20 PM on Monday from Anna Rodriguez, Operations Manager of Assist America of the Philippines.
Immediately, CGS Sual contacted and monitored said vessel through VHF radio to meet at the rendezvous point at 4 nautical miles Northeast off Sual.
CGS Sual personnel together with Special Operations Unit-Northwestern Luzon and Sual Rescue Team have successfully evacuated the patient onboard AB-121 and subsequently turned her over to her sister, Thelma Fernandez, a resident of Naguilayan, Binmaley, Pangasinan.
The patient was reportedly brought to Jesus Nazarene General Hospital in Lingayen, Pangasinan around 5:55PM for proper medical attention.
