PCG: Elements of the Philippine Coast Guard in Narvacan, Ilocos Sur have arrested three fishermen who were caught in the act of using air compressor for their fishing activities. 

The suspects Melvin D Daprosa, 38 years old, Jack D Daprosa, 33 years old and Gerald D Ires, 18 years old, all residents of Barangay Lingsat, Sta. Maria, Ilocos Sur were caught red handed in the vicinity waters of Barangay Sulvec, Narvacan last Saturday, March 7. 

The incident was reported by Cecilia Badar, barangay captain of Sulvec to the Coast Guard Sub-Station (CGSS) Narvacan.

The personnel of CGSS Narvacan, together with Bantay Dagat, immediately proceeded to the area and conducted seaborne patrol to suppress the illegal activity. 

Upon inspection, the team apprehended the suspects and towed their motorbancas to the office of the Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources (BFAR) for inquiry and investigation.
