PCG: The Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) apprehended nine fishermen, four of whom are minors, for conducting fishing activities in the protected area of Queen Tuna Park, Dadiangas South, General Santos City.
The suspects were also caught fishing using hollowed tree trunks to scare fishes and drive them into nets, locally known as "likom-likom".
The illegal fishing was reported by Kathyryne Anne J. Adolfo, secretary of Barangay Dadiangas South, to the Coast Guard Station (CGS) GenSan last Monday, March 16.

The fishermen were later taken into custody by CGS GenSan's Field Detachment and Special Operations Unit and were turned-over to the City Social and Welfare Department (CSWD).
