PCG: Elements of Coast Guard Sub Station (CGSS) Boracay found sixteen maritime violations after conducting vessel inspection onboard LCT Bato Twin in Boracay Island last Sunday, April 12.
LCT Bato Twin, owned by Maayo Shipping Lines and skippered by Joel Sales was boarded by the Coast Guard Team for vessel inspection at Manoc Manoc Beaching Area, Boracay Island, Malay, Aklan and found the following violations:
1. Leaving port without PCG clearance
2. Operating without exemption permit to operate
3. Operating without certificate of public convenience
4. Operating without passenger insurance cover
5. Operating without ship station license
6. Operating without copy of certificate of ownership
7. Operating without certificate of Philippine registry
8. Operating without certificate of number
9. Operating without permit to operate
10. Operating without bay and river license
11. Operating without ship safety certificate
12. Failure to comply with minimum manning requirements
13. Operating without tonnage measurement
14. Operating without certificate of stability
15. Operating without qualification document certificate
16. Operating without document of compliance pursuant to ISM or NSM code
CGSS Boracay advised the owner and operator to settle their violations at MARINA VI Office and secure all safety documents prior resumption of operation.
