PCG: A total of 250 personnel of the Philippine Coast Guard participated the coastal clean-up activity in the joint celebration of the 8th anniversary of Las Piñas-Parañaque Critical Habitat and Ecotourism Area and 45th anniversary of Earth Day  held at Freedom Island Trail, Parañaque, Metro Manila today.

The event anchored with the theme "It's Earth Day...Everyday, Everywhere, For Everyone" aims to raise public awareness and to encourage the public to take active participation in preserving the biodiversity and sustainable ecological balance in Metro Manila.

Said joint activity graced by Senator Cynthia Villar and Las Piñas City Congressman Mark Villar was also participated by representatives from Bureau of Fire Protection, Department of Environment and Natural Resources, City of Las Piñas, City of Parañaque, City of Muntinlupa, Maynilad and Miss Earth candidates.
