PCG: A mentally-ill local tourists in Boracay was found dead 50 meters off the shoreline last Tuesday, May 5.

The victim identified as Bernie Manansala, 48, was last seen walking along the shoreline of Sitio Tambisaan, Barangay Manoc-Manoc around 7:00 am of the same day. 

Barely two hours later, a certain Rodolfo Salivio found Manansala's lifeless body at the area and immediately reported to the Coast Guard Sub-Station (CGSS) Boracay. 

The victim's cadaver was retrieved by the Deployable Response Team of the Coast Guard, together with the Boracay Tourist Assistance Center (BTAC) and residents of the Sitio. 

Investigation revealed that Manansala is a resident of Bacoor, Pampanga. 

His remains were brought to Prado Funeral Homes in Barangay Motag, Malay, Aklan and waiting for the family's approval for autopsy examination.
