PCG: The Philippine Coast Guard in Davao City discovered a purse containing packets of shabu at the Maewess Terminal Area last Wednesday, May 6.

The black coin purse was seen by terminal employee Jeannete Ybanez on one of the benches and immediately called the attention of the Coast Guard personnel conducting random inspection at the area.

The Coast Guard found six medium-sized sachets of shabu within the purse with an estimated street value of P30,000.

It was believed that the suspect may immediately left the purse when he or she noticed the Coast Guard and K9 Unit conducting random patrol at the area. 

Said substance was properly turned-over to a PDEA Agent for proper disposition around 11:30AM of the same date. Likewise, PDEA Agents issued a corresponding acknowledgement/turn-over receipt to the Coast Guard.
