PCG: A passenger of M/Bca Junmar incurred a minor injury after a fast craft owned by 2GO accidentally hit the former while docked at its designated berthing area yesterday, May 7, in Ormoc Port. 

Reports revealed that MV St Jhudiel was bound for Cebu City, with 162 passengers onboard, when it encountered engine trouble while maneuvering around 8:00 pm in Ormoc Port. 

While there were no casualties among the passengers of MV St. Jhudiel, it was reported that a passenger of M/Bca Junmar suffered a minor injury on his right leg. The victim was immediately brought to Ormoc Doctors Hospital for proper medical attention. 

The personnel of Coast Guard Station (CGS) Ormoc advised the master of M/V St. Jhudiel and M/Bca Junmar to file a marine protest relative to the incident and forward a copy to the Maritime Industry Authority(MARINA) Office. 

The Coast Guard further advised both masters to secure a certificate of sea worthiness from MARINA before resuming with their operations. CGS Cebu directed the master of said vessel and motor banca to report aboard CGS Ormoc today for further investigation.
