PCG: A 13-year old boy drowned while two of his friends survived last Saturday morning in Chico River, Piat, Cagayan. 

The victim Zoren Biraquite Y Agustin and his friends George Agustin, 14 years old, and Keith Lana, 15 years old, reportedly escaped their ongoing youth ministry at Pilgrims Inn to bathe at Chico River. 

The teenagers encountered strong current while swimming until Zoren drowned.

His cadaver was retrieved yesterday by the personnel of Coast Guard Station (CGS) Aparri, together with Marine Environmental Protection Unit-North Eastern Luzon (MEPU-NELZN) and Special Operation Unit-North Eastern Luzon (SOU-NELZN) search and rescue team. 

The retrieved cadaver was positively identified by his parents and was turned over to his family for proper disposition.
