PCG: A total of 68 passengers were saved by the personnel of Coast Guard Station (CGS) Romblon after their motorbanca encountered engine trouble a mile off Logbon, Romblon last Sunday, May 24.
The boat captain of MB Alad Express 1 coordinated with CGS Romblon and requested assistance as their vessel incurred engine damage.
Personnel of said station onboard two motor boats, MB El Carmen 1 and MB El Carmen 2, immediately proceeded to the location to conduct rescue operations. Said team successfully transferred all passengers to MB El Carmen 1 while the distressed vessel was towed by MB El Carmen 2.
MB Alad Express 1 continued her voyage bound to port of San Agustin, Romblon and safely disembarked all passengers in good physical condition.
