PCG: The Philippine Coast Guard in Cebu is still on the look-out for three persons who went missing at the vicinity waters of Camotes Sea since May 24.

A certain Jhubert Estreta reported to the personnel of Coast Guard Station (CGS) Cebu that his cousin, Gabriel Evangelista, together with his two companions, was onboard a motorbanca which encountered engine trouble while transiting from Camotes bound for Talibon, Bohol.

Coast Guard Sub Station (CGSS) Camotes proceeded to San Francisco, Camotes Island to conduct search and rescue operation. CGS Cebu also notified Coast Guard in Tagbilaran and Talibon regarding the situation and requested them to alert their search and rescue response assets.

The search and rescue team scoured Camotes Sea for almost two hours until it was temporarily suspended due to unfavorable weather condition.

Likewise, CGS Cebu informed its sub-stations to advise all vessels transiting at the reported vicinity to be on the look-out for the missing persons and immediately report to the nearest Coast Guard unit for any information relative to the incident.
