PCG: Authorities are still searching for a 24-year old man who was swept along the Sibalom River in Antique last 28 June 2015. 

ENS PLACIDO ABAPO PCG (ret) informed Coast Guard Station San Jose De Buenavista of the drowning incident along the Sibalom River in Barangay Carawisan, San Remigio, Antique.

LT GLENN GRANGER PCGA, of the 606th Auxiliary Squadron further reported that the victim, Joe Quindo, drowned when he attempted to cross the river despite the strong current. It was believed that Quindo was swept downstream towards the sea. 

His body remains missing. 

CGS San Jose De Buenavista, in coordination with the Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (PDRRMO) of San Jose and Belison, Antique informed the residents of nearby coastal barangays to be on the look-out for the victim and report to the Coast Guard if sighted.
