PCG: One of the missing policemen who were reported missing since Tuesday, July 14, in Romblon was found dead at the shoreline of San Fernando, Camarines Sur.

The cadaver of PO1 Imee Magada was retrieved by the Coast Guard along the shore of Brgy. Cotmo, San Fernando.

According to Daniel Marco, barangay chairman of Bical, San Fernando, a lifeless body was seen floating in Brgy. Cotmo, wearing yellow shirt and black shorts.

Upon receipt of said information, the composite search and retrieval team of Coast Guard Station (CGS) Camarines Sur, Coast Guard Sub-Station (CGSS) Pasacao, PNP-Pasaco, and PNP Maritime Group immediately proceeded to the area and recovered the cadaver of Magada.

Magada, along with the other reported missing victim PO2 Paul Masajo, reportedly departed Brgy. Cajimos, Romblon last Tuesday onboard M/Bca Joanna Karla enroute to Banton Island where they were assigned.

The policemen failed to reach their destination nor establish contact with anyone.

Masajo, remains missing.

The remains of Magada was properly turned-over to San Fernando Municipal Police Station for autopsy.

Meanwhile, the Search and Retrieval Team further advised the barangay officials and residents of all nearby coastal villages for possible sightings of Masajo, and to render necessary action and report to the nearest Coast Guard if seen.
