PCG: Elements of Coast Guard Sub Station (CGSS) Roxas rescued three fishermen from their capsized motor banca at the vicinity waters of Roxas, Palawan last Wednesday, July 22.

Initial reports revealed that a certain Bing Beltran of Barangay IV, Roxas, Palawan informed CGSS Roxas that F/Bca Johnrex is in need of assistance. 

Immediately, the Coast Guard conducted a search and rescue (SAR) operation and eventually sighted the capsized motor banca. The team rescued the three fishermen onboard identified as Allan Ochaena, 34 years old, Arieston Soria, 32 years old and Joven Onico, 23 years old who were all in good physical condition.

The SAR team towed F/Bca Johnrex to Roxas Pier where the fishermen disclosed that while they were on fishing venture at said area, they were battered by strong winds and big waves causing their fishing banca to capsize.
