PCG: Rear Admiral Cecil R Chen PCG, Commander of Coast Guard Fleet spearheaded the opening ceremony of Sportsfest 2015 on August 06 at Coast Guard Ready Force (CGRF) headquarters, South Harbor, Port Area, Manila in celebration of the 8th founding anniversary of CGRF.

Five teams composed of personnel from CGRF, Small Craft Group, Surface Training Group-Fleet Readiness and Evaluation Group, Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources - Monitoring, Control and Surveillance (BFAR-MCS) and PCG vessels gathered to participate in the kick off parade of said event

The opening ceremony was also attended by CGRF’s Commander, Captain Artemio M Abu PCG, representatives from Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) and Commanding officers of PCG and BFAR-MCS vessels.

CGRF will be celebrating their upcoming anniversary on 04 September.
