PCG: Five fishermen, three of whom were minors, were rescued last Friday by the Coast Guards in Sorsogon from a distressed motor boat two nautical miles from the shoreline of Bulan. 

F/BCa Ralmacben reportedly encountered engine trouble while enroute to Bulan, Sorsogon to pick up fish containers. 

The incident was reported by Roberto Cantre, marine diesel mechanic of motor boat Sunriser II, to the personnel of Coast Guard Sub-Station (CGSS) Bulan, informing that F/Bca Ralmacben is in distress and requesting for assistance. 

A search and rescue operation was immediately conducted where all fishermen were successfully saved, namely Mark Almojuela (28 years old), Jefferson Arnaldo (17 years old), Jongjong Almojuela (15 years old), Macbein Almojuela (20 years old), and Benny Almosara (17 years old), all residents of Barangay Binitinan, San Fernando, Masbate

The distressed boat was towed to Pier 1, Bulan, Sorsogon.
