PCG: A 50-year old Korean national was successfully rescued by the Philippine Coast Guard from imminent drowning in Station 3, Boracay Island last Sunday, August 23.
The victim identified as Kim Jumz was reportedly swimming with her friends when she was suddenly dragged by a strong current which caused her to panic and scream for help.
The Deployable Response Team of Coast Guard Sub-Station (CGSS) Boracay immediately conducted a rescue operation and saved Jumz from possible drowning.
Jumz was declared in good physical condition by attending physician Dr. Ye Terynce of Metropolitan Doctors Medical Clinic.
