PCG: A 26-year old man who was suffering from depression jumped to his death in the vicinity waters of Sta Clara, Batangs last Tuesday, August 25.

The victim identified as Randy Manalo who refused to be rescued reportedly jumped into the sea and failed to resurface.

Initial investigation conducted by the personnel of Coast Guard Sub-Station (CGSS) Batangas City revealed that the victim was suffering from depression for almost three days prior to the incident.

Manalo’s cadaver was later found 150 meters from Ramp No. 2 in Batangas Port by the personnel of CGSS Batangas City and Special Operations Unit-Southern Tagalog.

The remains was turned over to ASIAN Terminal, Inc. (ATI) personnel and brought to funeral service at Batangas City for proper disposition.
