PCG: Elements of the Philippine Coast Guard in Batangas have successfully conducted a medical evacuation for the crew member of a foreign bulk vessel who was suffering from abdominal pain last Friday, September 18.

Leandro Viduya, crew of Greek-flagged MV Alpha Liberty, was reportedly suffering from kidney stones and required an immediate medevac.

Upon receipt of said report, the Coast Guard District Southern Tagalog (CGDSTL) immediately deployed DF-308 and its Special Operations Unit to medevac Viduya from MV Alpha Liberty and transport him to Terminal 3 in Port of Batangas.

The seafarer was then turned-over to the company physician of Friendly Maritime Services for proper medical attention.
