PCG: An unconscious Japanese diver in Apo Island, Negros Oriental was successfully revived by the Coast Guard last Thursday, October 15.

Kagawa Mami, 45, reportedly encountered problems with her regulator while diving eight-feet underwater with her diving instructor, Masakiko Kuroshawa. 

Mami was brought to the Protected Area Management Board (PAMB) office where she was given first aid and was rendered CPR to by one of the PAMB staff and the Special Operations Group personnel. 

The personnel of Coast Guard Mobile Team (CGMT) Malatapay ferried Mami and Kuroshawa to mainland Malatapay, Zamboanguita where she was transported to Siliman University Medical Center in Dumaguete for further medical assistance. 

At present, Mami is recuperating and subjected to other medical examinations.
