DOTC-PCG: All passengers and crew of MV Weesam Express 7 were successfully rescued by the personnel of Coast Guard Station (CGS) Cebu from a passenger/cargo vessel which ran aground near Lauis Ledge last night, January 23.

In a report made by the Coast Guard District Central Visayas (CGDCV), MV Weesam Express 7 ran aground 1.5 NM south east of Lauis Ledge around 6:40PM last night while it was enroute from Ormoc to Cebu City.

Around 1:30 AM January 24, all passengers and crew of MV Weesam Express 7 were safely arrived at Pier 3 in Cebu.
