PCG: COMMO ENRICO EFREN A EVANGELISTA PCG, Commander of Coast Guard District Palawan (CGDPAL), acknowledged the efforts of the Coast Guard Sub-Station (CGSS) Agutaya who safely escorted a damaged motorbanca with 10 persons onboard to Agutaya Pier last Friday, January 31.

M/Bca Princess Myka reportedly suffered cracks on both sides of its freeboard at the vicinity waters of Guinlabo Island while it was enroute to Agutaya, Palawan. Its captain, John A. Zabanal immediately decided to drop anchor and seal the cracks.

Upon learning of the incident, the personnel of Coast Guard Sub-Station (CGSS) Agutaya conducted a search and rescue (SAR) operations onboard a borrowed motor boat.

The team sighted the boat and escorted it until they reached Agutaya Pier.

The CGSS Agutaya SAR team and M/Bca Princess Myka with nine passengers onboard, arrived at the said pier around 7:00 PM of the same day.
