DOTC-PCG: The personnel of Coast Guard Sub Station (CGSS) CCP has successfully conducted a series of activities with the representatives of local government of Manila, Makati and the Polytechnic University of the Philippines (PUP).
The first in the string of activities was conducted with K-9 personnel in assistance to the launching of Sea Fair 2014, the biggest yacht and marine lifestyle exposition as organized by Counselor Don Jose Bagatsing, Committee Chairman on Tourism of the City of Manila.
The event, held last February 20, was conducted at the vicinity of Liwasang Ulilan, CCP Complex, Roxas Boulevad, Manila.
On the same day at around 10:00AM, the CGSS CCP personnel have also provided assistance to 30 members of the Makati Development Corporation and eight from the Metro Manila Development Authority (MMDA) for the Flood Incident Rescue and Life Safety Training at the back of Folk Arts Theater, Manila.
The following day, CGSS CCP Commander Chief Petty Officer Edgar S Tantiado PCG conducted a lecture to 46 BS Transportation Management students of PUP on Vessel Safety and Security, and Basic Water Search and Rescue. The lecture was held with the Special Operations Unit National Capital Region-Central Luzon personnel who, apart from lectures, have also shown an actual demonstration of said trainings in connection with the Sea Fair 2014 activities.
