PCG: Joint personnel of Philippine Coast Guard and other rescue team continue its search for 10 missing crew of sunken motorbanca which was reportedly rammed by an unidentified cargo vessel at vicinity waters between El Fraile, Cavite and Caballo Island last Wednesday.
Initial reports said that on 13 March, at 11:15 AM, a certain Mr De Ocampo reported to Coast Guard District National Capital Region-Central Luzon (CGDNCR-CL) that a collision incident happened last 12 March at 11 PM involving an unidentified cargo vessel bound for Manila and Fbca Dan Israel-L with 12.66 GT, owned by Mr Danny Ang with 23 crew onboard.
Consequently, the sister ship of sunken fishing banca, Fbca Dan Israel-J responded to the incident and rescued 12 crew of ill-fated vessel and brought them to safety.
The survivors were identified as follows:

4. Jojo Villamor
5. Jun-Jun Napalit
6. Jason Lnu
7. Ambelo Lnu
8. Raymond Masibag
9. Mak-Mak Dabanda
10. Lito Dabanda
11. Landrito Ancero
12. Paks Ando
Immediately, joint search and rescue team of Coast Guard Station (CGS) Bataan, Coast Guard Sub-Station (CGSS) Corregidor together with Special Operations Group (SOG) personnel conducted surface search at vicinity waters off El Fraile and Caballo Island in Cavite.
Two PCG search and rescue vessels, BRP Nueva Vizcaya (SARV-3502) and BRP San Juan (SARV-001) were also dispatched in search for the remaining missing crew.
After two hours of scouring the area, joint team recovered a floating cadaver at vicinity El Fraile Island, Cavite identified as Mr Jojo Sumbilla. Dabanda, Ancero and Ando incurred injuries and were immediately transferred by personnel of SARV-3502 to SARV-001 for provide medical treatment.
The cadaver and survivors were then brought to Patungan, Ternate, Cavite for proper disposition.
