DOTC-PCG: A nine year old boy remains missing up to this date after he was reportedly swept away by strong current at a river in Barangay San Mateo, Camaligan, Camarines Sur last Saturday, March 15.
The victim, later identified as Jammer Lloyd Panis, nine years old, was said to be swimming with his sister when he was swept by strong current and drowned.
The incident was reported by Kagawad Carlos Mariscal to the personnel of Coast Guard Sub Station (CGSS) Camaligan around 3:30PM of the same day.
Immediately, the personnel of CGSS Camaligan and its SAR Team, together with local divers/rescue team and barangay officials, conducted search and rescue operation in the said area but yielded negative result.
The SAR operation was temporarily terminated due to darkness in the area. The Coast Guard also advised the local folks and barangay officials to report any sightings of the victim.
