DOTC-PCG: Search operations are still ongoing for a missing passenger of a capsized motorboat in Barangay Pulang Bato, San Nicolas, Batangas yesterday evening.

COMMO ELSON E HERMOGINO PCG, Commander of Coast Guard District Southern Tagalog (CGDSTL) ordered the deployment of the Special Operations Unit and personnel of Coast Guard Sub Station San Nicolas to search for the missing victim identified as Lorenzo de Villar Jr.

The victim was among the 15 passengers of M/Bca 100 Islands when it capsized due to strong waves and rough weather while transiting from Brgy. Looc, Tanauan, Batangas to Brgy. Alas San Nicolas, Batangas.

Local residents and fishermen near the vicinity were able to rescue 12 victims and two children identified as Joseph Medina, 2 years old, and Krizza Marie Ramos, 4 years old.

Search operations of the Coast Guard SOU is still ongoing as of press time.
