PCG: A 50-year old swimmer, who was under the influence of alcohol was declared dead on arrival at the Bicol Medical Center in Naga City when he drowned last Sunday, April 20.
According to a report received by Coast Guard Sub-Station (CGSS) Pasacao by Cherry Knee, owner of Surfer's Paradise Beach Resort in Brgy. Caranan, Pasacao, Camarines Sur, a certain Jose Moran was intoxicated when he went swimming and drowned around 11:45 PM.Β
The detailed baywatch of 902nd PCG Auxiliary Squadron, headed by LIEUTENANT COMMANDER TROY BENITO PCGA, immediately conducted first aid and brought the victim to Bicol Medical Center onboard a service vehicle.
The team was accompanied by Moran's wife at the hospital where he was declared dead on arrival by the attending doctor. Mrs. Julian Moran later stated that her husband suffered from cardiac arrest before he drowned.Β
The remains of the victim was brought to his residence by his family at Brgy Triangulo, Naga City for proper disposition last 21 April around 1:00 AM.
