PCG: Commodore Enrico Efren A Evangelista, Commander of Coast Guard District Palawan (CGDPAL) and Honorable Eugenio Bito-onon Jr, Mayor of the Municipality of Kalayaan, Palawan signed the Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) for the deployment of Coast Guard licensed teachers this coming June 2014.

Said MOA was signed during the 46th Founding anniversary of CGDPAL held at Aziza Paradise Hotel, Puerto Princesa City last 23 April 2014.

Philippine Coast Guard Commandant Vice Admiral Rodolfo D Isorena and representatives from the Provincial Government and Department of Education (DepEd)- Palawan Division also attended the said event as witnesses.

The objective of said MOA is to extend assistance to the staff of Pag-asa Elementary School in Kalayaan and help maintain quality education for fellow Filipinos.

The initial deployment of Coast Guard teachers will be this coming June in time for the start of the school year.
